Fil-Am students express support for movement calling for stricter gun laws

WASHINGTON DC — Armed with an ambitious gun control proposal, survivors of the Parkland, Florida mass shooting who founded the “March for our Lives” movement are hoping to make an impact on the platforms of those with presidential aspirations.

Leaders of the March for Our Lives movement issued a call for 2020 presidential candidates to prove they would address America’s gun violence problem by endorsing their “Peace Plan for a Safer America” – a manifesto that demands that the next U.S. president heed six comprehensive, bold steps when it comes to gun control.
