Worldwide vigils for French attack victims call for protection of press

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – In the United States and in various parts of the world, people paused for a moment of silence to honor those who paid with their lives for press freedom — after gunmen shot dead twelve people at the Paris office of French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, in what appears to be a militant Islamic attack.

In Washington, D.C., an international crowd with an “I Am Charlie” battlecry gathered at the Newseum Interactive Museum of News and Journalism. In New York, people gathered in Union Square to mourn the victims of the massacre. In San Francisco, hundreds flocked the French consulate, also to remember those who lost their lives.

Similar vigils were held in other parts of the world like Turkey, Bosnia, Belarus and Spain.

A massive manhunt is still underway for two of the three gunmen accused in killing ten journalists and two police officers – in the name of Allah.

An 18-year old reportedly surrendered late Wednesday night. Police are looking for two other suspects who they said are brothers — aged 34 and 32, from a Paris suburb. They are believed to be Islamic extremists, possibly upset over cartoons published in Charlie Hebdo that show the prophet Mohammed in an unflattering way.

President Barack Obama said freedom of speech is something that can’t be silenced. He stressed, “The fact that this was an attack on journalists, attack on our free press, also underscores the degree to which these terrorists fear freedom — of speech and freedom of the press. But the one thing that I’m very confident about is that the values that we share with the French people, a belief — a universal belief in the freedom of expression, is something that can’t be silenced because of the senseless violence.”

President Obama said the United States will provide France with every bit counter-terrorism assistance to bring justice to this case. He also said his government is doing what it takes to stay vigilant to keep Americans safe — not just in Paris but in other parts of the world.

obozo is a bullshit artist, he is into isolated picked mental block not remembering, when he kept on blaming the benghazi attack as the result of a video, even harassing an american he suspected as the maker of the anti muslim religion video. obozo even highlighted the made up anti muslim religion video the center of his speech at the UN assembly, that americans must respect the freedom of religion of others, what a dickhead, always a dickhead.

obozo is talking, just for the sake of talking, he is the worst when it comes to, on how to be ten steps ahead of the terrorists, with his releasing from gitmo the 09-11-01 muslim terrorists. obozo cannot understand muslim terrorists captured must never be freed back to their own nations identified as the breeders of terrorists cells. obozo’s actions are molded on him being a muslim inside, while his outside, pretending as a christian which he despises so much. only the wicked, without conscience obozo can live in denial of his countless guilts, through all of his lies.

All Muslims migration to the US must STOP NOW or else we will become France. Obama’s immigration policy is to bring in 4 Million Muslims EVERY YEAR, until when it will stop. These are from Syria, Iraq and Somalia.Islam means submission, if you don’t submit to Islam they will kill you.

NAKAKAHIYA ANG AMERIKA now. . . ngayon. . . mismo. . . under THIS ADMINISTRATION. . . . . . ” It appears that community college is a bigger issue to President Obama than radical Islamic terrorism.
As 50 world leaders gather in Paris to march against Muslim terrorism, one person is notably ABSENT (na naman, dati sa congress, he was always PRESENT though not VOTING). . . . NASAAN ang magaling na PRESIDENTE? America, it is YOUR COUNTRY he has SHAMED in front of the whole world….GISING NA . . .
” Among those in attendance at the rally are French President François Hollande, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Queen Rania and even Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Although the president had no appearances on his schedule for Sunday, he still decided not to attend the march.”
and yet his trips to HAWAII takes MORE TIME on Air Force 1. . . . puede pag vacay and golf, dito. . . . deadma?
” Instead, while the president sits at home preparing to push for another socialist item, free community college, he sent Attorney General Eric Holder to Paris in his place.
This is same Eric Holder who famously couldn’t bring himself to say the words “Islamic terrorism” during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on May 13, 2010.
And it’s the same Eric Holder who spoke on CBS’ “Face The Nation” Sunday and responded with similar cowardice when host Bob Schieffer’s question asked him if the United States is doing enough to prevent attacks similar to those that occurred at the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris.
“I think that we are doing certainly, I think, a good job in monitoring those people. When I say monitoring I mean monitoring in an appropriate way using legitimate tools,” he said. “We are not stereotyping anybody.”
    Thank goodness.”

Obamas infiltration of US gov’t in very high places with muslim brotherhood members is one of many bellringers of where his allegiance lies.
