MANILA – Willie Revillame expressed his desire to mend ties with ABS-CBN this Christmas.

Speaking at the launch of his Christmas album with songwriter Lito Camo at his mall in Quezon City, Revillame said he is willing to ask for forgiveness from people in his former home network.

Saying he’s willing to let go of what happened in the past, Revillame insisted he is not the type who bears a grudge toward anyone.

Revillame also shared that ABS-CBN’s Sagip Kapamilya rented his plane for one month to deliver relief goods in devastated areas in the Visayas.

It’s a first step, he said, in reconciling with the network which was a big part of his life and career.

The controversial TV host, however, said he would love to do his former noontime program again if he would be given the chance to return to the Kapamilya network.

Revillame transferred to the No. 3 network TV5 in 2010, after the controversial end of his five-year program with ABS-CBN, “Wowowee.”

His first TV5 show, “Willing Willie,” similarly drew controversies, among them involving allegations of child abuse when a 6-year-old contestant was supposedly made to perform as a “macho dancer.”

The controversy, which involved advertisers pulling out from the show, prompted Revillame to announce it would go on hiatus. A month later, it resumed as the reformatted “Wiltime Bigtime.”

Yet another revamp as “Wowowillie” marked the program’s transfer to a noontime slot in January this year.

Revillame’s “Wowowillie” aired its final episode last October 12 after seven months on air. In his first announcement of the program’s end in May, Revillame said it would mark his retirement from television. – from a report by Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News

Hello Willie. Thanks at nakinig k s advise namin to go back to your former network. Don’t mind your detractors. Di nila alam ang puno’t dulo kaya madali silang maniwala s mga paninira s yo. Go on & ask for forgiveness. Buti you realized what ABS CBN can do to your career. They can make big stars, bankable stars. You see? ABS CBN can make big stars & likewise destroy big stars.
