NEW YORK — Using wooden yardsticks, cereal boxes, his cell phone and a laptop – Fil-Am math teacher Ram Buenaventura live streams his classes to his students while in the safety of their own homes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
From Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 3:10 pm, 7th graders from the Renaissance Charter School in Queens log onto their e-learning school via tele-conferencing app Zoom.
And that’s where Buenaventura continues to do what he does best: teach.
Buenaventura said the closure of schools across the nation should not stop students from learning, and teachers from teaching.
