Sometimes it is “wrong” to be too nationalistic but you do not have the means to defend it. Yes, that is a true statement! It is even worst when that nationalistic ideology of yours only supports your narrow political views that only benefits the few. When the U.S. bases were situated in Subic Bay or Clark, there were no such thing as China already established facilities or communication platform in any of the shoals, islands, reefs, etc… So we kicked out our tenants who were of great help to the Philippines economy. How so? Paying rent for both bases, employment to atleast several thousands of Filipinos, providing assistance to the Philippines armed forces to include equipment and training, etc. During their tenure, every movement in the South China were monitored…that was how good for all of us…now what do we have??? We have several Senators, Congressmen, judge and government employees who filled their pockets with cash but the AFP or PNP cannot even procure a half decent weapon to defend the country???
