you all are asking for immigration reform, well here it is a bipartisan reform. the saying is be careful what you wished for. the reform is not flaky. if it pass, illegal aliens will find them firm, going around them, finding loopholes will be subjects of legal experts to beat, as the saying goes beating the system. if that prevails, amendments will be applied. this is not an easy way out for illegal aliens, but years of waiting, going all the way at the back of the line, which is fair, once determined qualified to submit visa application for permanent resident, proving oneself worthy to be a legal alien, to application for naturalization. easily said than done, this will take a lifetime of an illegal alien. this process will not proceed, if the borders are not sealed, and the tourist or non immigrant visa holders mandatory must exit the USA, once their visas expired, if overstaying, becoming illegal aliens must mandatory be deported. open USA borders and overstaying of tourists or non immigrant visa holders are the reasons why america are bombarded with 11 million plus illegal aliens in the first place.
Great explanation noz. People that are opposed to this framework should carefully read the language of this law(if passed). The government is not giving out rubberstamps on the illegal aliens statuses, rather, they are making in it complicated for illegal aliens to attain citizenship. Just imagine when the borders would actually be secured, on how long would that take !
