JERSEY CITY, NJ – The crowd’s reaction says it all at this Pacquiao-Bradley fight watching party held at this Filipino restaurant in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Emotions ran high when Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao re-claimed the WBO Welterweight Championship title from Timothy Bradley.

“I really expected him to win, because Pacquiao should have won during their fight in 2012,” Jersey City resident Joaquin Pablo said.

To Bradley, Pablo said: “Better luck next time!”

Helen Castillo said, “I never lost confidence in our Pambansang Kamao. Go, go, go Manny!”

But it was the Pac Mom’s reaction as seen by millions of viewers on TV that stole the show. Aling Dionisia Pacquiao was deep in prayers while her son battled it out in the ring to reclaim the title belt.

“I believe prayers did the trick,” Mike Urbino said. “He was losing during the early part of the fight. So when Mama Dionisia actually finally gave her blessings to Manny, it seems like that was the turning point. It must have been the trick behind it.”

Some kababayans even teased – it was the Pac Mom’s prayers that made the Pacman win.

Rose Javier said, “Mommy Dionisia prays well! Her son was sure to win!”

Fans here say they can’t wait for a third match.

“It was a good fight, both fighters did a good job,” Lito Amores said. “I am expecting a third match, no doubt about it.”

From Washington DC to Chicago, Pacquiao-Bradley fight watching parties had the same ecstatic reactions

Meantime in Glendale, Calif., Filipinos at a Pinoy restaurant were thrilled to see Pacquiao beat Bradley – this time – leaving no doubt that he got the decision he deserved.

Nestor Tuason of Southern California said, “Manny is number one again! Yay Manny Manny, Manny.”

Perla Cagin, also of Southern California said, “Manny was really good. I know him. He wins this time.”

Despite his failure to knock Bradley out, fans are convinced that Pacquiao’s killer instinct showed up this time.

Myra Valdez of Las Vegas said, “I’ve been waiting for this moment but it was too bad he didn’t knock out.”

The knock out they were hoping for never happened but Filipinos here all agree that it was still a good fight.

I don’t think the real boxing fans in the filipino restaurant in Jersey city New Jersey know what is boxing, Manny was slow and he didn’t have that punch like before because I think Manny is old and a has been, sad he’s was good boxer before but age has caught him up. If I was him don’t even think about fighting Mayweather will knock Manny out or out point him, because of Maywethaer long reach and fast hands and stronger than the pacman. Manny you was the best in world at one time, but Mayweather is the #1 boxer now pound for pound ! If I was you give up boxing and take care of your family back in the Philippines because you have a lot of money from boxing. Good Luck Manny your one of the Best that will walk away from the ring !
