USAID, DTI celebrate American and Philippine scientific and tech partnerships

USAID, the US Agency for International Development, has long been the American government’s international humanitarian arm.

For three days, the group will focus on science and technology building in the Philippines.

The agency kicked off its 3rd annual Science Technology Research and Innovation for Development (STRIDE) conference on Tuesday, part of the 5-year $32 million USAID-Philippine partership for growth, bridging both the US and Philippine governments, and the private and education sectors.

In this report, Steve Angeles tells us how the Duterte administration is welcoming this culture of innovation and synergy.
