University of California officials sue Trump administration for rescinding DACA

The University of California filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for rescinding the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA — saying that it violates the rights of the university and its students.

This is the complaint filed against the Trump administration from the University of California, charging that the rescission of DACA harmed the school and its students.

President of the UC system, Janet Napolitano, was also one of DACA’s architects.

She helped create DACA while serving as secretary of homeland security under the obama administration.

Meanwhile at UC Berkeley, Dr. Joi Barrios-Leblanc teaches Tagalog to her class.

In this classroom, the news of the UC system’s stand to protect its students is welcomed.

“I think the termination of DACA is racist to say the least, but I’m appreciating how the university of California is stepping up and advocating for the dreamers,” said Alysha Robbins, a Berkeley student.

“I know people from home that are undocumented and we never really talked about it,” said Carla Mae Naz. “And just thinking about the fear of being deported, like I’m the same age as my friend, and right now I can’t imagine to think through that.”

Dr. Barrios-Leblanc says she is happy that not to see the the university and her students taking a side in the matter.

“I fully support it. I think this is a continuing struggle to assert the rights of all migrants.”

Dr. Barrios-Leblanc says that the DACA recipients she knows have complied with the government and are trying to better themselves while contributing to the US.

“We know them. They are our students. They come to class. They work hard. They are brilliant. The united states does not know how fortunate that these people are here.”

Attorneys general from 15 states and the District of Columbia have file suit against the Trump administration as well.

DACA is over, this is a last ditch efforts from corrupt lawyers to collect money from DACA recipients. Mass deportation for DACA start on March 2018. The only hope for DACA recipients to get green card is to enlist into the military service. Go to the mall and inquire at the military service counter, minimum requirement is High School graduate, ask for a Pinoy speaking military recruiter, he will teach you to pass the entrance written test. For the 800K DACA only 2000 join the military service, being patriotic citizen most of them had already received their their green card, and still they are serving the military. Ask your relatives, how long did they received their green card when they were recruited from Subic and Clark Air base in PH. You are already inside US this is the cheapest way to get a green card and you do not need a lawyer. You still have time, if you fail the entrance for the first time, do it for the 2nd, 3rd time, until you pass. For the UC officials Trump will tell you “see you at the SC” guarranty you lose.
