UN holds forum on the Philippines as a former safe haven for Jewish refugees

In observance of the International Holocaust remembrance day, the Philippine Mission to the United Nations and B’nai Brith International held a panel discussion on how the Philippines became a safe haven for 1,300 Jews, who escaped Hitler’s killing spree in Nazi Germany in the 1930’s.

Who knew Philippine President Manuel Quezon even had a longer list and saved more Jews than Oscar Schindler did.
