U.S. reports highest single day COVID-19 death toll, as experts warn of another outbreak in the fall

The U.S. has lost 500 more people to the coronavirus in the last 24 hours — marking the highest single-day death toll since the pandemic spread in the country, bringing the total death toll to now more than 3,400, with over 175,000 cases across the country.

In the state of New York alone there are now more than 75,000 cases, and over 1,300 hundred deaths.

But as the country finds ways to reduce the curve and save more lives, there are already concerns of when and how this deadly virus could come back in the fall.
