Trump signs executive order on police reforms, says America mourns by the side of victims’ families

WASHINGTON DC — Three weeks after the killing of George Floyd spurred widespread, massive protests against police brutality, President Trump issued an executive order to address police reforms.

Promising the fight for justice for all people, Trump’s controversial order aims for accountability in law enforcement — includes a provision that establishes a database for tracking police officers with complaints against them for using excessive force.

The order also bans chokeholds, “except if an officer’s life is at risk,” Trump said.
