Trudeau closes Canada borders to non-citizens, non-permanent residents to help prevent spread of COVID-19

VANCOUVER — Canada has also taken bolder steps to contain the spread of COVID-19 across the country by closing its borders.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Monday that Canada will be closing its borders to foreigners/ non-residents, and will only be allowing citizens and permanent residents entry to the country.

Only four airports will remain open to accept international flights: Toronto Pearson Intl Airport, YVR International Airport, Montreal International Airport and Calgary Int’l Airport.

Airlines will also be receiving a formal order to ban travelers presenting symptoms of COVID-19 on airplanes, meaning anyone who shows symptoms of the deadly virus will not be allowed to return to Canada.

Trudeau however also made clear—that these new travel restrictions will not apply to trade and businesses to ensure the supply of goods to Canada.

“I want to remind all Canadians that they should avoid non-essential travel outside of our country until further notice. Canadian travelers should return to Canada via commercial means while it is still possible to do so,” said Prime Minister Trudeau. “Let me be clear: if you’re abroad, it’s time for you to come home. If you’ve just arrived, you must self-isolate for 14 days. And finally, all Canadians as much as possible should stay home.”

Trudeau has said his liberal government will soon announce a major stimulus package to help those hit economically by the outbreak.

DURING the regular daily reporting/interview on TASK FORCE CV19 at FOX Business News. TRUMP talk with PM Trudeau regarding the closure on the US Canadian border.TRUMP’s best decision when he banned all flights to China on Jan 21. World travelers who visited China, Chinese tourist decided to visit the EU and Asia instead of the US. Because of that, the EU became the epicenter of CV19. Then last week Trump banned all flights to the EU, UK, Ireland, and Mexico. US-Mexico’s border wall are being protected by the Mexican Military.
