REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The trial for the undocumented Filipino man in Ohio charged in a triple murder case will be postponed for the second time.
Mista is accused of killing three men — including one off-duty police officer — in a shooting spree last March inside the Last Call bar in the town of Fremont.
A Sandusky judge ruled on Wednesday that 33-year-old Igmidio Mista’s trial could be rescheduled for October or November because the photo line-up used to identify suspects in the shooting may have been unduly suggestive.
The judge ruled that the photo line-up… Used to identify suspects in the shooting… May have been unduly suggestive.
The postponement would allow the judge to decide if evidence from the photo lineup should be admissible as evidence in the trial.
If found guilty, Mista faces up to 75 years to life in prison.
