Trafficked daycare workers seek SF Consulate for justice

DALY CITY, CA — Pinoy workers in the San Francisco Bay Area — who were allegedly victims of human rights violations by their employer — confront the Philippine consulate over the help they say they never received.

In September 2018, federal agents raided the Filipino-owned Rainbow Bright Day Care center in Daly City.

The California attorney general announced charges of human rights violations, worker rights, tax evasion, and possession of illegal weapons.

59 criminal charges were filed against the Gamos family.

The trial date is yet to be set.

Meanwhile, the Filipino workers and their advocates gather at the Philippine consulate to seek justice and assistance from their government.
