Toronto pop group “rIVerse” on being inspired by the Filipino community and fanbase

Dizz, Khadija, Zak and Monroe make up Toronto’s pop/R&B group “rIVerse.”

The diversity of these artists adds to their foundation of self-acceptance, which motivates the music they make.

rIVerse’s fan base continues to grow, especially among Filipinos.

They credit this mostly to their reaction videos on Filipino artists, such as the TNT Boys and Morissette Amon.

“I feel like the Filipino audience is the most passionate that we have on the channel. They would say the same thing when we had our first Morissette reaction, that we’re like prepared for the whole Filipino community to fall in love with Riverse or expect million subscribers… There’s so much pride, so much love for their artists. And in turn, they are showing us so much love for putting them on the channel and it’s been really a joy and a pleasure to connect.”
