REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – In Cerritos, California it was a night of celebration as ABS-CBN journalist and philanthropist Tina Monzon Palma visited the Filipino-American community.
Palma along with ABS-CBN foundation international director Joann Kyle, honored donors and volunteers who have been supporting this ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata 163 and Sagip Kapamilya projects.
Palma, who co-founded Bantay Bata 163 to help abused and underprivileged youth, shared positive news on the lives affected by the program.
Kyle also spoke to the community about ongoing relief efforts in typhoon ravaged areas of the Philippines.
The city of Cerritos led by Fil-Am Mayor Mark Pulido also honored Palma and Kyle with a certificate of recognition, for their ongoing charity work.
“I’m just impressed with Bantay Bata is about and I’m pleased to hear about Sagip Kapamilya,” said Pulido.
