Three filipinas killed, one injured in Santa Maria car crash
SANTA BARBARA, CA — Three Filipina women were killed, and one injured, following a two-vehicle crash late Friday on the intersection of Stowell and Blosser roads in Santa Maria.
Through a relative, BA has confirmed that those who lost their lives were Seattle-based Necitas Santa Maria and Texas-based Leonicelle Abaigar and her teen daughter, Andrea.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene. the driver of the Cadillac Escalade — their
cousin Catleen Dionisio is recovering in the hospital.
Police reported that the unidentified driver of the Toyota vehicle that crashed into the Escalade was driving recklessly.
They also suspect drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the collision. The driver was brought to the hospital but police could not give an update on his condition.
The family is asking for prayers in this time of tragedy.
