“The People’s Queen” launches in West Hollywood
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A night of pageantry in West Hollywood as the stars launched the newest TFC show in style. It’s a different type of game on this throne.
To celebrate ABS-CBN’s newest reality show “The People’s Queen,” the stars took ruled over West Hollywood.
The People’s Queen follows five Pinay beauties trained by Miss Universe judge, and talent agent Cece Asuncion, and pageant coach/journalist Voltaire.
It is the first North American produced reality series by TFC.
“ABS-CBN International is really out to create more and more programming based here in the US,” said Managing Director Jun Del Rosario. “We promise as part of our role here in the community we’ll represent diverse voices. We represent diverse stories, and The People’s Queen is one of them, our first foray into diversity.”
“We’re basically creating a platform for women of Filipino descent to represent Filipinos worldwide. And I think CC, the executive producer of this show it was his goal to see a Filipino win some crowns and represent,” said Diana Vergara.
The highly-anticipated The People’s Queen is more than a beauty contest or reality show, it’s also a celebration of the advancements diversity in showbiz.
