TFCU Talks returns to Los Angeles, empowering Fil-Am students to “reclaim roots”

LOS ANGELES — TFCU returned to Southern California at Loyola Marymount University for its latest installment of TFCU Talks.

The theme for this leg was “Reclaim your Roots.”

Jason Tengco, the outgoing executive director of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations talked about overcoming personal and professional obstacles.

Host and motivational speaker Jen Deleon talked about pursuing passions. Students were also treated to music from P-Lo and JR Aquino.

Both musicians also shared their insights when it came to finding their Filipino identities as they carry on with their music.

Attendees were connected, inspired, and empowered.

The next TFCU Talks is scheduled for May in San Francisco at the CAAMFest.
