MCALLEN, TEXAS – With the surge of undocumented children and young mothers streaming into the US from Central America, some Filipinos here in the border city of McAllen in south Texas chose to respond to the urgent need to feed, clothe, and shelter them.

These kababayans are among the growing number of residents in the Rio Grande Valley who have volunteered their time and effort to care for undocumented immigrants who get dropped off daily by Border Patrol agents at a local bus station.

“I saw blank faces of women and children when they come in,” said Grace Roa, a Filipino volunteer.

“Some of them travel on foot for a month,” said Zarah Almirante, another Filipino volunteer. “That’s a long journey.”

Some of these undocumented immigrants are being temporarily housed at the Sacred Heart Church in cooperation with diocese, Catholic Charities, the city of McAllen, Hidalgo County, as well as other church denominations.

Sister Pimentel of the Catholic Charities of Rio Grande Valley is confident helping out these immigrants can be sustained, even while policymakers are still trying to decide the next steps.

“In the long-term recovery, the community will continue to meet as a group so we can be together in helping,” said Sister Pimentel. “We don’t know how long this will go on, maybe months or years. We’ll continue working.”

“It was like God talking to me to help,” said said Zarah Almirante.

“If Jesus was here, he wouldn’t look at race,” said volunteer Grace Roa. “It’s beyond that.”

If you volunteer and keep feeding illegal alien at the border expect that millions more will arrive soon and flood America. Million of $ are being made on the illegals at Texas borders, contractor, that supply foods, medicine, tent, overtime pay, etc. Catholic Charities USA(CCUSA)is the national offices of 160 local catholic charities agencies nationwide. In 2010 CCUSA revenue is $4.7Billion, 140k came from church donation, $2.9Billion came from Obama’s faith base initiative office(that is your tax $ money) ref;wikipidia, the rest came from Corporations. The Catholic Church and Obama’s office are working side by side, using your tax $ money, and Obama needs $3.7Billion more. His cronies will make a lot of money on this crisis. Why spend $3.7B to illegals who is not even a citizen of this country. There are 100Million American unemployed they need jobs.

Stop feeding them just like dogs if you keep on feeding them they will only keep on coming? Why don’t you feed yourself or feed the real Americans that don’t have jobs or the homeless? You volunteers are the most stupid I have seem? As A true Americans has seen in many years? All of you could be be put in jail for a long time? That’s why Americans say Filipinos don’t have any “BRAINS.” Feed your family or why you can send the food to the Philippines to the poor people that can’t buy feed?
