The ENACTUS World Cup once again returned to San Jose, California, as hundreds of students from 36 countries competed against each for the best social enterprises that could have a significant impact in solving the world’s problems.
The Philippines was represented by students from Holy Trinity College in General Santos City.
The Philippine team came up with a tagline — GOLD, or “Go Organic Live Dynamic.”
Their goal: to develop different products and opportunities out of natural resources.
To create these products, they tapped persons with disabilities to create a more meaningful impact with their social enterprise.
Just to have a chance to compete on the international stage was already a great experience for the team Philippines.
Joas Gersava of Sultan Kudarat State University won the action accelerator award for his company Virtualahan, which has a digital skills development program geared towards persons with disablities.
For the leaders of Enactus Philippines, they continue to be in awe with the heart of the youth to help solve the world’s problems.
Win or lose all the teams went home with great ideas and new friends as they continue to link up and band together for a better future for their generation.
