A 42-year-old Filipino man has died after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle in Contra Costa County, CA, on Tuesday evening.
Authorities have identified him as Christopher Bunag, a Hercules resident.
Reports said he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, and the driver fled the scene.
Eventually, authorities were able to track down and arrest 28-year old Kylie Lanae Derksen of Martinez, California — and charged her with one felony count of vehicular manslaughter and one felony count of hit-and-run resulting in death.
Her bail is set to $100,000, and she is being held at the Martinez detention facility.
