Sondland’s testimony likely to leave a lasting impact as scheduled public impeachment hearings conclude

The last two impeachment hearing witnesses last Thursday may have provided more evidence that President Donald Trump used his office to pressure Ukraine to investigate his political rival Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

But it was European union Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s bombshell testimony the day before, that still echoes.

Thursday’s hearing was the fifth and last scheduled day of public hearings by the Democratic-led House intelligence committee.

But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that the impeachment inquiry is far from over, and that more witnesses might be called to testify against President Trump.
