The dust is settling after the NBA trade deadline sent the NBA’s lone Fil-Am player from West to East.
Last night after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jordan Clarkson took to social media to say thank you to Laker Nation.
Calling his time in the Purple and Gold “a dream come true,” and that he was proud of everything he achieved as the city watched him grow.
Clarkson who did a lot of work in the community, especially with the Filipinos and underprivileged youth pledged to continue to show support the community.
For his new team, he promised to give everything he has to bring another championship to the Land.
Clarkson is expected to join the Cavs in Atlanta tonight, where they talk on the Hawks.
JC, along with Larry Nance Junior who was involved in the deal, are expected to make their Cavs debut this Sunday when they visit the Boston Celtics.
Clarkson now has the rare distinction of playing with both Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
After the trade, Bryant wished good luck to whom he called his favorite young guns, telling them to do great things.
While the Black Mamba wished his former teammates well, the King is welcoming his new running mates.
Lebron James says that he likes the new players coming in citing their youth and athleticism. He says that it’s now his job to get them to mesh in.
