REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The San Francisco Fil-Am who was allegedly shot to death last May after reportedly trying to enter the wrong apartment in his building is receiving his college degree posthumously.
The family 26-year-old Stephen Guillermo accepted the posthumous diploma in international relations on his behalf today at a ceremony at San Francisco State University.
He was the first in his family to earn a college degree.
Guillermo’s 68-year-old neighbor Amisi Kachepa was arrested at the scene for the shooting, but was released after the District Attorney declined to file charges against him.
