SF Philippine consulate showcases art for World Autism Awareness Day

SAN FRANCISCO —  With the ribbon officially cut, the lobby of the Philippine consulate in San Francisco will now showcase the artwork of children with autism.

The exhibit, which features paintings and even a gown, is put on by the Autism Hearts Foundation — as part of the celebration of World Autism Awareness Day.

“We’re doing this not to just generate that consciousness but we are empowering those children, expose/express themselves through art,” said Con Gen. Henry Bensurto.

The exhibit will be open for the entire month of April.
