SF Fil-Ams send message of support to Duterte

SAN FRANCISCO – Songs were sung. Signs were held. And Philippine flags waved outside of the Philippine consulate in San Francisco to show a united front for President Rodrigo Duterte and his war on drugs despite the president being hounded by accusations of human rights violations and extra judicial killings.

Attorney Adnan Alonto, national coordinator of the Brotherhood for Duterte USA, says there is a concerted effort to malign the president by his political opponents.

“I believe there is a conscious and deliberate move and campaign by the liberal party to discredit the president,” said Alonto. “Because if the president is removed guess who is going to succeed him.”

Alonto says the senate committee that’s probing the alleged human rights violations and extra judicial killings under the Duterte administration should address the issue fairly.

“This is a congressional senate hearing for that matter, supposedly in aide of legislation, and the assumption being that there are holes in our justice system that needs to be fixed and that our judicial processes need to be amended accordingly,” said Alonto.

Alonto also expressed disappointment over the heated argument between Senators Antonio Trillanes and Alan Peter Cayetano during the said hearings.

Cayetano was questioning witness Edgar Matobato on killings allegedly ordered by President Rodrigo Duterte during his term as city mayor of Davao.

“These are senators of the republic expected to be observing parliamentary rules and yet I’ve never heard or seen these unparliamentarily moves,” said Alonto.

Despite the controversies hounding the Duterte administration, his supporters in the US say they will remain vigilant.

“I believe the Filipino people will stand up for the president and will rally behind the president in this very crucial stage in our history,” said Alonto.

To all of the Filipinos in America, watch out what you all say, because a lot of Americans don’t like your president mouth, what he’s saying about America. Never hurt the hand that feeds you and if he keep on putting America down, his not going to have any help from America at all, and for the Filipinos in America the Americans is saying a lot of bad things about you now in America. So he better be careful on what he says about America.

Folks let us talk in a civilized manner.Duterte admit he is a socialist and is tutored by NPA Chairman Sison in one of the university in Manila decades ago.So it is not surprising for his hatred for America and the only thing that keeps him popular are his drug war and criminality. He tells in the television that he does not care if foreign investor leave the country because of his acid words.Does not he know that greedy American capitalist made Japan,Korea, Germany,Communist China and de,it reminds me of the democratic Russia great and prosperous.Don”t you folks have a hint when he admired Cuban nurses and plan to send our nurses to learn from their expertise!!When he raise his clench fist it reminds me of the Red Guard and the People Democratic Army of China and Russia.I pray we don”t go the Indonesian way!!!
    You got the drift!!

You can put the next guy on the stand, but first give him coffee, pandesal, longsilog-tapsilog breakfast, $100 peso Aquino bill, new clothes from Divisoria, it’s all ready to go for some headline testimony…
