SAN FRANCISCO — “Celebrating our history and creating our legacy” was the theme of the evening.
This is the 14th time Filipino American History Month has been celebrated at City Hall. The evening acknowledged groundbreaking milestones for the community and the people who advocated and helped make them happen.
2018 also marked the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the ethnic studies program.
The Filipino American National Historic Society established Filipino American History Month 30 years ago in 1988.
