Sentencing of San Fernando Valley massacre killer begins

LOS ANGELES – Three years after the tragic San Fernando Valley massacre, the penalty phase for the man convicted of killing four people, including three Filipinos, began at a Los Angeles courtroom this week.

The jurors convicted Laos-born Ka Pasasouk of 11 murder related counts last month.

This week, they began deliberating if Pasasouk should receive the death penalty or life in prison.

Filipinos Jojo Navales, Robert Calabia and Amanda Ghossein were killed in December 2012.

The hearings will continue on Monday.
