Senior government officials say U.S.-Canada border expected to remain closed until August 21

CANADA — Days before the pandemic-related U.S.-Canada border closures July 21, the pressure is on for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to keep the borders closed, despite increasing calls from U.S. counterparts to reopen.

Trudeau has yet to confirm the extension, but some senior govt. officials have told the media that border closures for non-essential travel will be extended until August 21st.
