Senate votes to proceed with Trump’s 2nd impeachment trial

The historic Senate impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump has begun and senators have voted 56–44 in favor of the trial’s constitutionality. House managers began by playing a graphic video of the Jan. 6 U.S Capitol siege interspersed with Trump’s powerful words taken to heart by an angry mob. North America Bureau Chief TJ Manotoc reports.
