Senate bill pushes for more high tech worker visas

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – While the House moves to stop Obama’s immigration relief efforts, the Senate introduced a bipartisan bill that would make it easier for high-tech firms in the United States to hire foreigners to work in science, technology and engineering.

A bill introduced by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch of Utah would raise the number of high-tech visas to 115,000 a year from 65,000.

But if the demand for foreign worker is higher, that number could be increased to 195,000 a year.

The bill also seeks to make it easier for some high-tech workers and their dependents to get permanent resident status in the United States.

Republican Rubio,Flake, Hatch and 3 Dems sponsor bill to increase H-1B guest visas, it would also increase the cap from 65K to 195K per year. GOP want professionals, high tech workers not uneducated illegal alien that will just collect welfare and could not speak English. Microsoft, Facebook, etc. prefer to hire IT workers from India and the PH because of knowledge on English language and will agree for a lower wages.Pinoys will dominate this guest worker Visas. PH Consulate, Embassies should get involved ASAP and find out what jobs available. Beware: Pinoys recruiting agencies will emerge like mushrooms.

For Pinoy US College grad and qualified for high tech job, but you can not find a job, you are at your own risk. Chances are you will be caught by ICE and get deported. However, ICE will give you chance, just tell them that you are ready for a voluntary deportation. You still have chance to come back in the US. GOP new bill will lead to deportation of DACA and DAPA recipients who were reprimanded by Obama exec action in 2012/2014. This bill also include $40Billion fund for DHS(Homeland Sec) If Obama will veto it. DHS will be defunded, and will operate until September. If no veto, deportation will continue as planned. Because of time and debates by the politicians you will be eventually caught by Immigration officer.
    Time to go back home.

@Mario, well, a pinoy grad with diploma and qualification will not get the job , same with the Americans with higher degree and knowledge . Obama only hire elliterate that bows to him and follow his command.

Obama is not for intellectual genius people , reason is Obama can not be insulted with higher education than his own. Obama thinks everyone is below him with his self proclaim intelligent , therefore no one can advance greater and achieve better than what he intended for you. Obama wants people to be defended on Government , so people can be zoombie communist .

He wants to dictate what food you can eat, what education you can reach , and etc, etc. It is just like his MUSLIM FAITH, CONVERT OR DIE. If we do not recognize and resist this development, freedom and prosperity for all Americans will continue to deteriorate. All liberties in America today are under siege.

The US is no longer the land of opportunity, the cake has been carved leaving only a few crumbs for any new comers. The country that the forefathers founded is dying.
