Sen. Kamala Harris announces bid for U.S. president 2020

One of the rising stars of Democratic party formally announced her 2020 presidential bid in a massive kick off celebration in her hometown in the Bay Area.

This is the junior senator for California, Sen. Kamala Harris — formally kicking off her campaign to be the Democratic candidate to challenge for the White House.

Approximately 20,000 people packed Frank Ogawa plaza early Sunday afternoon to hear from the Oakland-born Harris.

Harris would go on to go after Trump but never refer to him by name.

The former California Attorney General also mentioned the on-going investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election — while also calling for unity.

Harris joins an increasingly crowded group of presidential hopefuls — like Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, New York senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, to name a few.

Those in attendance remain optimistic of Harris’ chances.

Republican national committee spokesman Michael Ahrens responded to Harris’ announcement by tweeting that her liberal policies like government-run health care, weaker borders, and higher taxes are quote totally out of step with most Americans.

While Oakland may be Harris’ hometown her headquarters will be based in Baltimore, Maryland.

According to Israel Bernal (Community member in Sacramento), said that Harris is just going to be another democrat who like to talk loud but not really doing anything for California. She’ll be talking loud and lying to the people (e.g. Climate change, going after Trump, no border, etc.). Or she’ll be using the same line like “change you can all believe in?

KAMALA HARRIS has chance to become the VP for HILLARY CLINTON. Bill & Hillary are master tactician when it comes to Prez Primary, they are unbeatable and can RIGGED the primary. Best choice MICHELLE OBAMA was offered to run but she has to spend $Billion from her own money to win. To beat Trump on 2020 election is MINIMUM of $ 4 Billion. The last election, Npelosi raised $ 5.5 Billion for DNC, yet they only win the House, The GOP won and GAIN more seats in the Senate. There are 30-40 Primary Dems candidates and TRUMP set the example that a businessman and Billionaire could win the Presidency. Today 3 Billionaire already announced their candidacy, BLOOMBERG,CEO Bloomberg TV, Bob IGER-CEO Disney and Apple Board, H SCHULTZ-CEO Starbuck, they are waiting for ZUCKERBURG-Facebook and M CUBAN-Dallas Maverick. On the celebrity they are waiting for OPRAH, Dwane ‘the ROCK” Johnson, Kanye West and Chris Rock.
