CALIFORNIA — There is an update in the case of a missing Filipino grandfather. The van that 82-year old Francisco Candelario was driving when he went missing in Torrance, California last Tuesday has been found. But there is still no sighting of Candelario.
This silver Honda Odyssey mini-van with license plate SKYLEE1 was found in Tulare on Saturday — three hours away from Torrance. It was found abandoned by a canal bank with the keys on the ignition.
BA spoke to Candelario’s daughter, Myra, this morning. She believes her father — who suffers from early onset dementia — may have gotten out of the van, began walking around the area or even hitched a ride with a stranger and was dropped off somewhere.
They are still holding out hope that her father would eventually be found. Candelario left their house without his phone, money and drivers license.
Candelario is described as 5’5 tall, weighing 120 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, red jacket and black pants.
If you have seen Candelario, please call 9-1-1.
