Philippine consulate adopts new system for dual citizenship applicants

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco — which covers Northern California, northern Nevada, Washington State, Oregon, Montana, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Alaska — is adopting a new system for applicants of dual citizenship.

Beginning September 4, all applicants for dual citizenship from Northern California must secure an appointment schedule through these websites — and

Out of state applicants are exempted from the appointment system, but they are encouraged to secure an appointment before flying to San Francisco.

Oath-taking ceremonies will be scheduled every Thursday, 10 am at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine center building on Sutter Street, with certain requirements.

Joining BA in studio is the Philippine Consul General of San Francisco, Henry Bensurto, to talk about this new system and the territories it covers.
