Ryan Reynolds joins search for Filipina’s stolen teddy bear with recording of late mom’s voice

The tragic story involving a stolen teddy bear and a Filipino mother in Canada is pulling on the heartstrings of people online, including “Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds.

Mara Soriano, 28, says she was moving into a new apartment in Vancouver, BC when her backpack, which contained the stuffed toy, was stolen.

A CBC report says she’s desperate to have it returned to her because the teddy bear contains an audio recording from her mother who succumbed to cancer in 2019. For Mara, the stuffed toy is a reminder of home.

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds is so moved by the story he has offered $5,000 to anyone who can bring the teddy bear back to its rightful owner.
