UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif–Its spring time in Hollywood, and a Fil-Am actor-musician kicked off the party at Universal Studios City Walk. Actor, singer, and dancer Roshon Fegan performed for the audience over the weekend as part of the weekly Music Spotlight Series.
Fegan cites that headlining the show at the popular tourist destination was his childhood coming full circle.
“Born and raised right here in LA and to be on this, because this was the only place I can” hang because everything else was for older people. When I was young, 12, 13 I would be out here hanging with my friends until curfew. They would kick me out,” he said.
Hundreds of fans, including Pinoys waited for as long as three hours to watch their favorite Shake It Up cast mate and former Camp Rock star.
“He’s down to earth. He’s so cute,” said Bell Manuel of Fontana, who brought her two daughters.
Inspired by his struggles as a young teen actor and his experience finishing 6th place on Dancing with the Stars, Fegan is opening up his own dance studio in downtown Los Angeles in April.
“I’ve never taken a class when I was young so when I got Shake It Up and when I got Camp Rock 1, I had to catch up and figure out choreography in a day and that’s not a good feeling so I wanted to be able to open a dance studio for people to be on top of their game,” he said.
