Republicans insist no quid pro quo following as public impeachment hearings begin

This week, state department officials ambassador Bill Taylor and George Kent testified for more than five hours about their concerns with President Donald Trump’s requests that Ukraine investigate former vice president Joe Biden and his family or the U.S. would withhold military aid.

The newest revelation was that of a July 26th phone call between European union ambassador Gordan Sondland and President Trump that a staffer of Taylor overheard in which Sondland allegedly said that the president cares more about investigations into Biden, a democratic presidential front-runner than he does about Ukraine.

After all the testimonies and questioning, this was top of mind for the Democrats.
