REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – President Obama will take a trip to Asia in late April.
He will visit the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Malaysia, and meet with leaders in all those countries.
The White House says it’s part of his ongoing commitment to increase US engagement with Asia.
Last year, Obama canceled a trip to Asia, that included stops in Malaysia and the Philippines, because of the partial government shutdown.
Balitang America confirmed with Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Cuisia Jr. that the president’s Asia trip will include the Philippines this time.
