REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Two German car makers are facing US recalls.
BMW is recalling some 76,000 vehicles to fix potential problems with its side airbags.
The recall includes certain 3 series and 5 series models from the years 2006 and 2007.
Meanwhile Volkswagen is recalling some 66,000 vehicles, including 63,000 Tiguan compact crossover SUVs that are being voluntarily recalled over a potential problem that can cause lights to stop working.
Close to 4,000 Jetta hybrids are being recalled over a potential transmission issue that can cause power failure.
Neither company has reported any deaths or injury because of the issues.
