REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Filipino American Eugene Vibar, 33, has been missing for nearly two weeks from his Portland, Ore. home, and a growing network of people concerned for Vibar are asking the public to help bring him home.
Vibar was last seen by his housemate in the early morning of Nov.1 after coming home from a Halloween celebration.
The housemate said Vibar went for a walk that morning and didn’t return
He said it was not unusual for Vibar — who was an outdoors enthusiast — to go into the woods.
A missing person’s report was filed with the police five days after Vibar’s disappearance.
At a press conference, friends and family said police have hit a road block in obtaining Vibar’s cell phone records and bank statements; information that could help pinpoint his location.
Vibar is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder length brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black or blue jacket.
A “Have You Seen Eugene Vibar?” Facebook page has been created to help in the search efforts.
