POLICE SEARCHING FOR FILIPINO THEFT AND ASSAULT SUSPECT IN GLENDALE

Police are looking for a Filipino man suspected of assault and attempted robbery of a woman in Glendale, Calif. on Saturday.

According to Glendale police, the woman was hit in the face by the alleged robber’s jacket while attempting to steal her purse. The woman also reportedly refused medical treatment from medical responders.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. in the 200 block of North Brand Boulevard while the victim was waiting for the Glendale Beeline bus at a bus stop, as reported by the Glendale News Press.

Witnesses told police the suspect ran away and got on the No. 92 Metro Bus.

The suspect was described as Filipino, clean-shaven, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 175 pounds with short brown hair. He was reportedly wearing a pair of black sunglasses, grey t-shirt blue jeans and was holding two white plastics bags.
