Pinoy restaurant in Guam accused of a maggot problem

In Guam, the territory’s department of public health issued a report today saying a complaint made against a Filipino restaurant of maggots in one customer’s order was unsubstantiated.

On Tuesday, reports say a social media post from one customer of Josie’s special batchoy and fast food in the village of Dededo went viral, saying the customer “found maggots inside the fried chicken.”

While an inspection by the department of public health and social services found several violations, it gave the restaurant a ‘B’ rating, and said it does not have a maggot or fly problem.

The restaurant’s management says it will work to fix the observations made in the report.
