Pinoy Panawagan: Parole program for veterans
The widow of a veteran asked us:
I would like to petition my two children who are still in the Philippines. In 1990 my husband did not come to the U.S., although he had the intention to do so, because he was already suffering from Alzheimer’s, high blood pressure, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, and heart disease. He eventually died in the Philippines.
As a surviving spouse, is there a restriction in the parole program that only veterans who have come to the U.S. can apply for parole? I am a U.S. citizen and had filed I-130 for my children.
