    dear atty lou,
    i’m a US citizen and just married my same sex partner for 23 years. my partner is out of status right now, she has a son not biological, and not legally adopted. she’s the only mother that the boy knows. my question when i file a petition for my partner can i file a petition for the boy as my stepchild?thank you and hoping that you can enlighten me regarding this matter. God speed.

    I have a question regarding my nephew, his was petitioned by his greencard parents last Feb. 2013 and is currently out of status, will he be able to adjust status if he files his 485 by next month Aug. as it is being announce that it will be current.

    Hi Atty. Lou, my U.S. Citizen husband will be petitioning me currently out-of-status but, we are worried that his income will not be enough. His current adjusted gross income for 2012 is $21,000 , 2011 is $21,000, 2010 is $9,000.. It will be 2 in the household me and him. I hope you can answer my question.

    Hi! I have a friend is overstaying visa for 9 yrs and now he aply for asylum and he got working authorization and SS# so he get ID and driver licence now. but the case still going on if it will be approved. he is convincing me to aply also is that ok to aply for asylum we are the same situation thanks
