Atty Lou, I have been residing in the US since 2001 and I got my green card through cancellation of removal in 2011. I married a US citizen in 2005 and we were together for a few years. We filed for my adjustment of status but unfortunately, even before I was awarded a green card, we divorced. Short to say, I did not acquire my legal permanent residency thru marriage but thru cancellation of removal. How soon can I apply for citizenship if I had my green card in 2011? Thank you.
