REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The Filipino nurse who was one of the accused in molesting a 98-year-old stroke patient in San Diego, Calif. in 2011 and arrested in Canada this month is now in US custody.

Russel Torralba is wanted in California after he and another Filipino nurse, Alfredo Ruiz, were caught on a surveillance camera molesting a patient.

Torralba was arrested on Jan. 9 in British Columbia, Canada.

At a hearing with Canada’s Immigration and Refugee board on Monday, he was found to be working illegally as a caregiver for a disabled young boy.

Canadian authorities expected him to be deported after a hearing next month, but US Marshals took custody of him Tuesday instead.

Both Torralba and Ruiz have been charged in California with felony elder neglect and felony lewd conduct by a caregiver on a dependent adult.

canada needs to be applauded for their deportation decision of this POS. but the USA, the liberal california in particular may intercept this POS, to face his sexual abuse of the elderly crime, likely ending up imprisonment for years with possibility of parole, paid for by the taxpayers. this POS may dodge deportation after serving his time, with the slack feds, the POTUS in executing deportation of illegal aliens and criminal aliens, such as this POS.
