SAN JOSE, CA — Authorities in San Jose announced an arrest Thursday in a homicide case, where a police sergeant has told BA that he believes both the victim and the suspect are Filipino.
Reports say authorities quickly identified 30-year-old San Jose resident Rayel Andal as the suspect in the homicide death of 63-year-old Leonard Daguro.
Andal was located and arrested at a San Jose home last Thursday.
On June 19th, authorities found Leonard Daguro unconscious and not breathing in an east side San Jose neighborhood.
He was then pronounced dead on the scene.
Reports say an initial investigation indicated that Daguro died from grave injuries he suffered from a physical altercation right before.
Andal has since been booked into the Santa Clara County main jail for homicide without bail. Authorities have not yet released details regarding a motive or a court date.
