Pinoy jailed for severely burning boy in shower

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – A Filipino man from Streamwood, Ill. remains in jail after being accused of aggravated battery of a five-year-old boy.

Authorities say the child was severely burned by scalding water.

Brian Magsombol, 29, faces charges of aggravated battery to a child and aggravated domestic battery, both felonies.

On Aug. 13, Magsombol reportedly left the son of his girlfriend in a shower with the water running at its highest temperature.

The boy ended up with second-degree burns.

Magsombol has yet to enter a plea but he’s due back in court Sept. 4.

His bond has been set at $250,000.

    $250, 000 for a bail? dont ever commit a felony in Illinois, in California a murder can be bailable for $15,000
